Mukulungu is a tropical hardwood species found mainly in regions such as West Africa, with known growing areas in countries such as Gabon, Congo and Cameroon.

With a deep, rich brown to reddish-brown colour, Mukulungu has an attractive and warm appearance. The wood often shows a distinctive grain and has a fine texture.
