Wood type

Faveira Amargosa

South American hardwood

The South American wood species fava amargosa, sometimes also called faveira amargosa or angelim amargoso, is in durability class 3. This makes it quite durable.

Faveira Amargosa (tropisch hardhout) - Denderwood

You can recognise fava amargosa by its beautiful orange to dark brown colour and special structure. This structure arises because there is a lot of parenchyma around the vessels and this causes fine distinctive stripes to form in the markings. Fava amargosa can also be recognised by its spicy flavour.
