Abachi, also known as Ayous, is a type of wood native to West Africa, especially from countries such as Cameroon, Gabon, and Côte d'Ivoire.
Although it is not as well known as some other tropical hardwoods, Abachi has some unique properties that make it suitable for various applications.
Abachi is often appreciated for its light weight, which makes it easy to handle, and it has a relatively soft texture. The wood has a pale, almost white colour, and it shows little colour variation. This light colour makes Abachi suitable for applications where a bright, neutral appearance is desired.
